- STEP 2: Get quotes on items that you're interested in. Then, compare with prices found in local brick-and-mortar stores.
- STEP 3: Watch the classified ads in your local paper for notices of upcoming office furniture liquidations.
- STEP 4: Contact the purchasing department at local corporations to learn of upcoming equipment sales. Some companies regularly sell off used office paraphernalia they no longer need.
- STEP 5: Examine the equipment or furniture to see if it's damaged in any way. Even the slightest ding may peel more off the price.
